Abbot Hill completed this residential entrance transformation in Naples, Florida, replacing the home’s older decorative double doors with a modern, hurricane-rated front entry system. The project delivers a refined architectural update while reinforcing one of the property’s most critical exterior openings against coastal weather.
While the previous doors featured a traditional aesthetic, this upgrade focused on long-term performance. The new impact entrance doors feature engineered impact-resistant glass, significantly improving storm defense, daily home security, natural foyer illumination, and overall curb appeal in a single installation.
Why Upgrading to Impact Entry Doors Matters in Southwest Florida
In Southwest Florida, exterior entry systems face severe seasonal wind speeds and airborne debris. Traditional entryways often depend on cumbersome storm shutters or lack the structural framing required to withstand tropical storm conditions. Transitioning to dedicated hurricane-rated double doors provides continuous storm protection, reduces outside noise, blocks harmful UV rays, and eliminates storm-preparation hassles while elevating property value.
