Abbot Hill Windows & Doors completed this before-and-after front entry transformation for a single-family home in Naples, Florida, replacing an outdated entryway with a modern hurricane-rated impact system.
The original entry featured traditional red double doors with small glass inserts and an aging frame. Abbot Hill removed the existing assembly and installed a new black-framed double entry door system with expansive impact glass panels. The new configuration establishes a clean, contemporary appearance while significantly upgrading the home’s exterior defense.
Upgrading to Impact Glass While Preserving Architectural Stonework
In Southwest Florida, the main entryway is one of the most vulnerable structural openings during severe weather season. Upgrading to engineered impact glass delivers dependable storm resistance, enhanced intrusion security, and superior energy efficiency without needing bulky storm shutters. For this property, Abbot Hill engineered the installation to fit precisely within the existing structural dimensions, preserving the surrounding decorative stone facade and complementing the home’s original architectural character.
