Abbot Hill completed this residential window and door upgrade for a townhouse in Naples, Florida, replacing multiple existing openings with modern black-framed window and door systems.
The project included impact windows, single-hung windows, specialty-shaped windows, fixed glass panels, sidelights and sliding glass doors. The updated systems give the residence a cleaner, more contemporary appearance while bringing in natural light and maintaining open views of the surrounding Naples community.
The new sliding glass doors also create a stronger connection between the interior and outdoor living areas, making the home feel brighter and more open.
Why townhouse projects call for a different approach
Townhouses combine the shared exterior walls of a multi-unit building with the individual ownership of a single-family home. That means openings often need to match neighbouring units in colour and profile while still meeting the design preferences of the homeowner. Specialty shapes, sidelights and fixed panels are common in these properties, and each one has to be measured and manufactured individually rather than pulled from a standard size.
